The Rural Law Center of New York, Inc. has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. The Center recognizes that New York State's requirements for Continuing Legal Education pose an additional problem for rural attorneys. Since many attorneys live and practice a considerable distance from seminars offered in urban areas, it is the Rural Law Center's purpose, as an accredited provider, to make sessions available in the more remote regions of the state.
Typically the Center partners with rural County Bar Associations, Regional Legal Services programs, the local judiciary or rural Human Service agencies to assure locally-specific trainings that will meet the needs of both private attorneys and the organizations that serve low-income individuals.
We encourage organizations and agencies that are interested in co-sponsoring an accredited CLE program in their local region, to contact the Rural Law Center to make arrangements.
